Description

This two-hour course explains laws and regulations pertaining to mandated reporters.  This course discusses who is a mandated reporter, what constitutes abuse and the consequences of not reporting. It also highlights some tips for spotting signs of abuse.

Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to

  • Explain mandated reporting and who is required to report
  • List groups of people whoa re most vulnerable to abuse and explain why
  • Describe different types of abuse
  • Recognize the signs of abuse
  • Report abuse and understand the consequences of failing to report
  • Take steps to prevent abuse in their own facilities
